Good places for a mini-split
- Garages and shops
- Basements and home additions
- Bonus rooms over the garage that are always too hot or too cold
- Homes with no ductwork
- The one room that never gets comfortable
How it works
An outdoor unit connects to one or more indoor units through a small line set that runs through the wall. Each indoor unit has its own control, so every room can have its own temperature. A mini-split is a heat pump, so the same system heats and cools.
What I do
I size each zone, place the indoor units where they'll move air well, and run a clean, neat installation. I also service and repair mini-splits, including ones someone else installed.
My guarantee and your warranty
Every system I install comes with my 2-year workmanship guarantee. If something I installed isn't right, I come back and make it right.
The manufacturer covers parts for 5 years by default, but only if nobody registers the equipment. I register every system I install, so you get the full 10-year factory parts warranty.
Areas I serve
Based in Farr West, I serve homes and businesses in Farr West, Ogden, Layton, Kaysville, Roy, Hooper, West Haven, North Ogden, Plain City, Clearfield, Syracuse, Brigham City, plus Pleasant View, Harrisville, Riverdale and Perry. Bigger jobs can take me farther across northern Utah, so call if you're outside that list.
Common questions
Can a mini-split heat in a Utah winter?
Yes. Many models are built to heat well in cold weather. I'll recommend one rated for our winters.
Do you repair mini-splits you didn't install?
Yes. Call or text (801) 832-5302 and describe what it's doing.
