AC problems I fix

How I approach AC repair

In my experience, airflow is the number one cause of poor cooling. Not refrigerant, and not the brand. So I start with the filter, the coils, the ductwork and the blower, then test the electrical parts and the refrigerant charge.

You get a clear explanation of what's wrong and what it costs before I do any work. If your system uses R-22, that doesn't automatically mean you need a new one, and I'll walk you through the real options.

Common questions

How much does AC repair cost?

Common repairs like a capacitor or contactor usually run a few hundred dollars. I give you the price before I do any work. My post on AC repair costs lists typical ranges.

My AC uses R-22. Do I need a new system?

Not automatically. R-22 is no longer made, but it is still available. I'll explain whether a repair makes sense for your system's age and condition.

Do you offer same-day AC repair?

Yes, when my schedule allows. Call or text (801) 832-5302.
