Furnace problems I fix
- Furnace runs but blows cold air
- Furnace won't start, or keeps turning on and off
- Igniter and flame sensor failures
- Inducer motor and blower motor problems
- Pressure switch and limit switch faults
- Thermostat and wiring problems
- Strange noises, burning smells and blinking error codes
How a repair visit works
I check the simple things first: the filter, the thermostat, the gas supply and the furnace's error code. Then I test the parts that actually fail, so you're not paying to swap parts until something works.
Before I fix anything, I tell you what's wrong, what it costs and what your options are. If your furnace is old and the repair doesn't make sense, I'll tell you that too, with no pressure.
Quick checks before you call
- Make sure the thermostat is set to HEAT and set above the room temperature.
- Check the filter. A clogged filter can make the furnace overheat and shut itself off.
- Make sure the furnace's power switch (it looks like a light switch near the unit) is on, and that the breaker hasn't tripped.
- If you smell gas, leave the house and call Enbridge Gas before calling anyone else.

Yes. I service all major furnace brands, including high-efficiency furnaces.
Should I repair or replace my furnace?
It depends on the furnace's age, its condition and the repair cost. I'll give you the numbers for both and let you decide.
